The style of my Jewellery is strongly connected to the environment I live in.  I grew up on the stunning south coast and soon developed a passion for my local beaches and their ever-changing elements.  My designs are purposely made from contrasting materials collected directly from the beach, which are then sensitively captured.  The silver is then brushed to give a frosty satin finish.  My experimental approach has incorporated a variety of materials but I am particularly drawn to organic materials which can be given a new leases of life such as shells, slate, pebbles and sea glass- all of which have been individually selected from the shore. 

An alternative strand of my jewellery designs reflects a period of study undertaken which explored 'jewellery' & 'ceramics' and includes an unusual combination of silver & mini slip-cast porcelain pieces.  Since discovering these two very different disciplines I have created a collection of jewellery which embodies both materials in a sensitive but contrasting style.  I love to see the messages expressed by contrasting materials.     

My inspirations are very specific and draw on my desire of the coast and obsession with beach-combing and collecting natural objects.  I am particularly inspired by the ever changing seasons which bring new and exciting treasures to the shore line....waiting to be discovered!
